MALACO just released a great compilation CD for the holiday. It is titled A MALACO CHRISTMAS. There nine songs on the CD; includings, tracks by The Evereadys, Expressions Of Faith, Willie Rogers, and Tammy Edwards & The Edwards Sisters. The entire project will be part of the Gloryland Gospel's Christmas broadcast beginning December 1, 2014.

silenced this morning.
We learn that Brother Charles Johnson, of
Charles Johnson & The Revivers, died this morning in Durham, NC.
Brother Johnson was, for many years, a
member of The Sensational
Nightingales.
Although,
Charles Johnson & The Revivers
made their mark in Southern Gospel Music, he will forever be known as a
great gospel quartet lead singer.

(of Atlanta, GA) announced that Rev. Joe
Brooks, Jr. has joined the group. According to Tim Boone of the Heirs, Rev.
Brooks is “not a replacement for the late Rev. Charlie Brown, but a great
singer that will continue the legacy of Rev. Brown.” Other new members of
the group are Reginald Saunder, Mickey Hinnant, and C. J. Ward. They join
the Boone brothers (Danny, Quintin and Tim). The group is in the studio
working on their next project. We understand the project will contain all

The Fantastic Violinaires of Detroit, MI, performed at The Singing Stars Anniversary program on Saturday, January 25, 2014. They have a new lead singer, Lemont McDowell, that is outstanding. He was with the group 2Gether of Spartanburg, SC, before joining The Fantastic Violinaires. We hope that he is allowed to be himself and not forced into trying to become another Robert Blair or Lil Blair.
