	Taking Quartet Gospel To The Next Level!
	The group chosen for the Independent Review for May is no stranger to the gospel music industry. Lady Beatrice Ward And Angelic Voices were organized in March 1982. Along with Lady Ward, the current members of the group are Frank Ward, Edith Randle and Lynn Winzer. Lady Beatrice Ward is a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She and the group currently reside in Houston, Texas. In 2003, they released the CD Hold On under the name Beatrice Ward & Angelic Voices. And there are at least two (2) other projects that showcase the exceptional talents of this group, Sister Ward and Angeletts Plus – *God Will Deliver* and Sister Beatrice Ward – Live In Houston. The group can also be heard on the CD *A Taste of Texas #2* that was released in 2009 by Family Styled Entertainment Group. The new CD is titled *Gospel Experience. And, what an uplifting experience it is listening to this CD. There are 10 songs (twelve tracks) on the CD. They are “Running For Jesus,” “One Blessing,” “Jesus is my Everything,” “Worship Him,” “Running For Jesus (zydeco remix with a taste of Creole),” “Hold On,” “Leaving,” “Bye N Bye,” “Sold Out,” “What If ?,” “Let God Do It,” and “Running For Jesus (Instrumental) ZYDECO remix by J. Paul Jr. & Nubreedz.” "Running For Jesus" is presented in three (3) versions - traditional, with a 'taste of Creole,' and instrumentally. It would not do justice to the CD to single out any one song for special attention. From the first rendition of "Running For Jesus" to the smooth mesmerizing instrumental version of this song, you are treated to nothing short of good gospel music. On a whole this project offers a very consistent sound. If you are familiar with the discography of this group, you will notice there is only “Hold On” is the only song on Gospel Experience from any of their previous projects. The fact that Gospel Experience contains mostly new songs, suggests the group does not have a limited repertoire. This puts them in the company of groups like The Mighty Clouds of Joy* that rarely re-record a song from a previous project. The new CD should become a favorite with Radio Angels. The songs were made for radio - not to long, great messages, many upbeat tempo arrangements, and a powerful lead singer. This project is a must have for any and all quartet fans and those that just like good gospel music. We give Lady Beatrice Ward And Angelic Voices' *Gospel Experience* an 8.5 out of 10.
